Capitals Trade for Ryan Bourque

The Washington Capitals have traded for Ryan Bourque from the New York Rangers, in exchange for Chris Brown, as reported in the Washington Post.

Bourque, a 25 year-old forward who was drafted in the third round of the 2009 NHL entry draft by the Rangers, has played in 56 games with the Hartford Wolfpack this season, with 10 goals and 14 assists. He's on a one-way contract which expires this summer according to capfriendly.com.  Here's a bit more on Ryan Bourque in his own words from the time when he was drafted by New York:

Chris Brown is a 25 year old pivot, drafted in the 2009 selections like Ryan, taken in the second round by the Phoenix Coyotes.  Brown saw one game of action with the Caps this season, but has played primarily with the Hershey Bears.  In 20 games with the Bears, Brown has notched nine points (3 goals, 6 assists).  Brown is on a two-way contract that expires after 2016-17 when he would become a RFA according to capfriendly.com.
