Capitals Moves: Carey, Carrick, Sill, Ness

The Washington Capitals have recalled Paul Carey and Connor Carrick from their AHL affiliate Hershey Bears, while assigning Zack Sill and Aaron Ness to the Bears, as reported by the Washington Post.

Carey, a left-shooting left winger has put up 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 43 games for the Bears this season, while having previously appeared in two games for the Capitals.  Carrick, a right-shooting defenseman who was selected in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL draft by Washington, has notched 22 points (9 goals, 13 assists) in 39 games for the Bears.  He has previously played in 3 games with Washington.

Ness and Sill had just recently been brought up to Washington for some time at the NHL level.  Sill was brought up for some depth when Marcus Johansson was hurt and Alex Ovechkin was suspended due to missing the All-Star game, while Ness provided depth when fellow blueliner Taylor Chorney was ill with flu-like symptoms.
