Sergey Kalinin Signs with New Jersey Devils

Former Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) forward Sergey Kalinin signed an entry level contract with the New Jersey Devils according to the team's official website.  Kalinin spent the past six seasons (he played in one game during the 2009-10 season) playing with Omsk Avangard of the KHL, most recently putting up 25 points in 58 games (watch his first KHL goal here).  The 24 year-old has played in the World Junior Championships (2011) and the World Championships (2014), winning gold each time.

The one-year deal is automatic in the Collective Bargaining Agreement for a 24 year-old entry level contract, as noted by Tom Gulitti at
