NHL Signings: Tootoo, Turgeon

The New Jersey Devils have re-signed forward Jordin Tootoo, at $825,000 for one year as reported on nj.com by Rich Chere. This deal was something that had been worked on prior to the arrival of new GM Ray Shero and the offer was just recently signed by Tootoo. The tough winger began his NHL a career with the Nashville Predators in 2003-04. Last season, he played in 68 games for New Jersey, garnering 15 points and 72 penalty minutes.

Dominic Turgeon, the 63rd overall draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2014, signed a three-year entry level contract with Detroit according to Ansar Khan on mlive.com. The pivot spent the past tour seasons with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL, most recently putting up 43 points in 67 games for the team. Dominic is the son of former NHL player Pierre Turgeon.
