Brodeur Named Assistant GM for St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues have named former New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur as their assistant general manager according to a recent report at NHL.com. It was announced as a three year deal. Brodeur had been advising with the St. Louis Blues after a brief stint as their backup goaltender however he wanted a larger role. As reported in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, part of the interest on Brodeur's part was related to stability in a hockey position, a scenario to which he has been accustomed.
