Pacific Divison Notes: Kings, Ducks and Flames

Jeff Carter has been on a roll for the L.A. Kings of late.  According to lakingsinsider.com, Carter has notched 14 points in his past 12 games.  Since coming to the Kings in 2012 in the trade for Jack Johnson with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Carter has scored 68 regular season points in 97 games.

As reported earlier, Andrew Cogliano signed a four year contract extension with the Anaheim Ducks worth $12 million in total.

Bob Hartley is getting excellent performance from his netminders.  And it's frustrating him.  It's frustrating because the Calgary Flames aren't putting up wins when the play in net has been stellar.  According to Hartley, as quoted recently in the Calgary Herald:
“We’re wasting great goaltending performances,” said Hartley. “It seems like an old song.”
Karri Ramo in particular, has been strong as of late.
