Del Zotto Traded to Nashville

Michael Del Zotto has been traded by the New York Rangers to the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Kevin Klein according to the NHL Network.

Del Zotto provides the Predators with a young blueliner adept at setting his teammates up to score. Over the past three seasons to-date (2011-12 through 2013-14), Del Zotto has assisted on 58 goals during 165 regular season games. He has also scored 15 goals of his own during that time span.

Kevin Klein had spent his NHL career with Nashville since first taking to the ice with the team in 2005-06 (he was selected in the second round of the 2003 NHL entry draft by Nashville). He's described as an excellent shot blocker, who is also fairly adept at moving the puck up ice and assisting on goals. Over 403 regular season games, Klein has notched 66 assists, to go with 16 goals.
