Central Division Notes

The St. Louis Blues have recalled defenseman Jordan Leopold according to the team's website.  Leopold has missed 26 games after undergoing surgery to repair ligaments in his hand, injured in early November of 2013.  The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Leopold may take to the blue line for the Blues on Saturday.  St. Louis currently sits second in the Central Division, just three points behind the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that there are currently 11 Blackhawks in consideration for Olympic national team positions, amongst various countries.  This could affect the team in that several of their players will not get the three-week respite to rest and heal during the Olympic "break".

Alex Chiasson was moved to the Dallas Stars' first line, alongside Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, according to the Dallas Morning News.  The winger has assisted on five goals in the past five games, leading to his move up to the top line.

The Minnesota Wild have lost Zenon Konopka after the 33 year-old pivot was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Sabres, according to the Star-Tribune.
