Pat LaFontaine and Ted Nolan Back With Buffalo

Pat LaFontaine has been named to the newly created position of president of hockey operations for the Buffalo Sabres. Meanwhile Ted Nolan has been named the interim head coach for the Sabres. This all comes on the heels of general manager Darcy Regeir and head coach Ron Rolston being relieved of their duties on Wednesday.

According to NHL.com, LaFontaine's position is not that of General Manager for the team.
LaFontaine said he will not be the team's general manager and will lead the search for the next GM.
Ted Nolan last coached with the Buffalo Sabres in 1996-97, when he won the Jack Adams award for the NHL coach of the year.
