Montreal's Big Trade Coming?

The Montreal Canadiens may be looking to make a "big splash" in the trade market, according to sportsnet.ca.  As reported by Luke Fox, citing the Fourth Period, GM Marc Bergevin has been seeking a first-line star since taking the helm of the Habs.  Who could be included in any package for a first-tier forward?  It's noted that Raphael Diaz and Brian Gionta are both on expiring contracts and might be candidates.  They would need to be packaged with prospects, draft picks or possibly cash to acquire a player that would qualify as a "big splash".

So who would / could Montreal be targeting?  A player with scoring touch like Tyler Seguin would qualify as the type of first line star Montreal is looking for. He is under contract through 2018-19 at a cap hit comparable to Gionta.

If Dallas could get the quantity of draft picks it wants, or a prospect like top tier defenseman Nathan Beaulieu, the Stars just might be enticed enough to part ways with the young talented scorer. And Montreal would have that big fish it was seeking.
