Hurricanes Entertaining Trade Offers?

According to Pierre LeBrun on ESPN.com, teams have been discussing defenseman Tim Gleason and forward Tuomu Ruutu as potential trade returns, with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ruutu is signed through 2015-16 at a cap hit of $4.75 million, and holds a no-movement-clause according to Cap Geek.  The 30 year-old center has 4 points in 19 games this season.  Gleason, who was traded to Carolina in 2006 by the Los Angeles Kings, is considered a shutdown defenseman, and is inked through the 2015-16 season at a cap hit of $4 million annually.
