Jason Pominville Inks 5 Year Extension

Jason Pominville signed a five year extension with the Minnesota Wild, worth a reported $28 million, according to NHL.com, after trading offers several times with Wild management. The right winger from Quebec spent the majority of his NHL career wearing the blue and gold for the Buffalo Sabres until he was traded west to Minnesota prior to last season's trade deadline. Pominville had immediate success with the Wild, notching nine points in ten games to close out the regular season after his trade. The winger will start the new season on a line with Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu according to the Minnesota Wild's team site.
