NHL Snap Shots: Raymond, Torres

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have signed Mason Raymond to a one-year contract worth a reported $1 million according to the Toronto Sun.  The 28 year-old Raymond last played in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks.  In the lockout shortened season Raymond scored 22 points for a Canucks team that led the Northwest division.  Raymond was previously on a professional tryout with the Maple Leafs.  

  • Raffi Torres of the San Jose Sharks will be sidelined for six weeks or more after suffering an ACL injury according to cbssports.com.  The native of Toronto, who played in 11 regular season games with the Sharks last season,
