  • Frank Seravalli reports at Philly.com that veteran Hal Gill is likely to stick around as he works with the Philadelphia Flyers on a professional tryout.  The big, 38 year old defenseman last took to the NHL ice with the Nashville Predators in 2013.  Gill was traded to Nashville in 2012 by the Montreal Canadiens.
  • Tim Thomas, as reported by ESPN, had his competitive fire stoked while watching his former Boston Bruins' teammates fight for the Stanley Cup in 2013 against the Chicago Blackhawks.  Tim Thomas is currently on a professional tryout with the Florida Panthers, and is considered by many, likely to make the Panthers squad for the 2013-14 season.
