Cody Hodgson Signs With Buffalo Sabres for Six Years

Pro Hockey Talk reports that the Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Cody Hodgson to a six-year deal, ending his restricted free agency.  The 23-year-old center scored 34 points in 48 regular season games in 2013, of which 15 were goals.  Over his brief career, spanning 139 regular season contests while suiting up for the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres, Hodgson has notched 77 points, of which, 35 he put in the net himself.

UPDATE:  Cody Hodgson's contract terms have been updated at capgeek.com to show that the deal is worth $25.5 million over the six years at an annual average value of $4.25 million, expiring after the 2018-19 NHL season.

With Hodgson signed, as well as the recent signing of Nazem Kadri by the Toronto Maple Leafs, there are just a few restricted free agents still not inked to deals including:  St. Louis Blues' defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, the Toronto Maple Leafs' Cody Franson and the New York Rangers' Derek Stepan.
