Vancouver Canucks Free Agent Signings

The Vancouver Canucks have signed winger Dale Weise to a one-year deal worth $750,000 according to the Vancouver Sun.  The 24 year-old who was taken by the New York Rangers in the 2008 NHL draft, and claimed on waivers by the Canucks in 2011, has notched 14 points over 118 regular season games in New York and Vancouver.  Weise is tabbed as a forward who "excels on the forecheck".

Vancouver also signed forward Jordan Schroeder to a one-year deal, for a reported $600,000 and defenseman Yann Sauve to a one-year, two-way deal for just over $700,000 at the NHL level.

Schroeder saw his first NHL action in 2012-13, picking up nine points in his 31 regular season games as a Canuck.

Sauve, who was selected in the second round of the 2008 NHL draft by Vancouver, played with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL and the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL in 2012-13.
