Tyler Seguin Traded to Dallas Stars

The Boston Bruins have traded Tyler Seguin along with Rich Peverley and Ryan Button to the Dallas Stars in exchange for Loui Eriksson, Matt Fraser, Joe Morrow and Reilly Smith according to TSN. Seguin, the 21 year-old forward and number two overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft had a strong year for Boston, scoring 16 goals with 16 assists in the lockout shortened season.  Seguin is starting a six-year, $34.5 million contract for the 2013-14 season according to capgeek.com.

The 27 year-old Loui Eriksson, highlighting the deal for Boston, is playing under a contract that expires in 2015-16, at an annual cap hit of $4.25 million.  He played a full 48 games with the Stars this past season, garnering 29 points.  According to Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe:
Eriksson is a smart, responsible, two-way player who had 12 goals and 17 assists this past season. Eriksson is an ideal fit for Claude Julien’s defense-first system.
New Dallas Stars' General Manager Jim Nill has been busy since joining the franchise roughly two months ago.  As Craig Custance writes for ESPN:
Before Nill arrived, the Stars were a solid, if unspectacular, team. He's aggressively set out to change that. In just a few short months, there hasn't been a general manager more aggressive in improving his roster.
