Lecavalier a Flyer

After a compliance buyout by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Vincent Lecavalier has reportedly agreed to a 5-year, $22.5 million deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.  The 33-year-old forward, and former number one overall pick, was in the midst of an 11-year, $85 million contract with Tampa Bay before being bought out.  His cap hit with the Lightning was roughly $7.7 million, and his cap hit with the Flyers will be $4.5 million per season according to capgeek.com

Since appearing with Tampa Bay on NHL ice at the age of 18, Lecavalier has scored 383 regular season goals and assisted on 491 more.  He also has 52 points in 63 post-season games, and won the Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.  He led the NHL in regular season goals with 52 during the 2006-07 season.
