Chris Bigras Ready to Start NHL Career with Colorado Avalanche

Mike Chambers reports for the Denver Post that the Colorado Avalanche's second round draft pick, 32nd overall, Chris Bigras is ready to start his NHL career.  The 18 year-old defenseman from Ontario stated:
"The situation here is great and I'm extremely anxious to get started," Bigras said at the off-ice prospects camp at the Avalanche's practice facility this week. "I'm going to put in the time in the offseason and be prepared for (training camp in) September."
With his commitment level high, it can't be ruled out that he could start the season in the NHL with the Avalanche.  It's likely however, as Chambers states in his article, that Bigras begins the 2013-14 season with the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL.  In 68 regular season games with the Attack in 2012-13, Bigras notched 30 assists and 8 goals, with a plus 35 on-ice.
