2013 NHL Free Agent Update: Beleskey, Rangers, Remaining Unrestricted Free Agents

The Anaheim Ducks have signed winger Matt Beleskey to a two year extension according to NHL.com.  After being drafted by the Ducks in 2006, the 25 year-old Beleskey has played parts of the past five seasons with Anaheim.  His contract is for two years at $1.35 million per year.  In other NHL free agency news:

  • The New York Rangers have yet to sign any of their restricted free agents, per Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post.  Ryan McDonagh, Derek Stepan and Carl Hagelin are three key RFA's on the docket to be re-signed by New York.  
  • There are several unrestricted free agents who remained to be signed by an NHL team.  A list has been compiled at NHL.com of the top free agents remaining in 2013.  Prominent on the list are Jaromir Jagr, Brenden Morrow and Brad Boyes, among others.
