Oilers Part Ways with Head Coach Krueger

The Edmonton Oilers will be moving in a new direction for their head coaching position, after parting ways with Ralph Krueger after one season.  The decision to make a change arose out of GM Craig MacTavish's search for a new assistant coach, alongside Krueger.  He realized during that process that he was looking for a coach that was more closely aligned with the way he wanted to run the team.

It is thought that Toronto Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins will become the new head coach for the Oilers, if he's not retained by another team looking for a head coach first.
