Minnesota Wild Re-Sign Forward Stephane Veilleux

As reported by Michael Russo at startribune.com, the Minnesota Wild have re-signed 31-year-old forward Stephane Veilleux to a two-year deal worth up to $1.175 million.  Veilleux, who was drafted by Minnesota in 2001, but played briefly for the Tampa Bay Lightning and very briefly for the New Jersey Devils, has spent the vast majority of his career with the Wild.

In 460 regular season games, Veilleux has tallied 101 points.  The native of Quebec is described as energetic, physical, with good speed, who can also be an "agitator".    His best season offensively was while with the Wild in 2008-09, when he notched 23 regular season points.
