Tampa Bay Lightning Trade of Martin St. Louis? - Speculation

Greg Wyshynski recently posted at Puck Daddy about a speculative article written in the Tampa Times about whether Martin St. Louis would waive his no-trade clause based on the thought that the Tampa Bay Lightning will likely miss the playoffs this season.

The indication of the article is that St. Louis' absence from the Lighting would hurt the league's top goal-scorer in Steven Stamkos, and that St. Louis should remain with Tampa Bay until he retires.  The diminutive winger and unofficial face of the franchise has been a member of the Lightning since the 2000-01 season.
