NHL Trade Snapshots: Ducks, Steckel, Devils, DeBoer

According to a link posted at nbcsports.com, David Steckel is happy with his trade to the Anaheim Ducks, based on their success this season.  While the Ducks have deep talent at the center position, the Wisconsin native will have a chance to contribute and make a run at the Cup based on the way his new team has been performing.

New Jersey Devils coach Pete DeBoer believes that they have enough talent to perform better than they have been, and get back into the top eight teams within the Eastern Conference, according to a post at Fire and Ice on northjersey.com.  The Devils were dropped out of the top eight with a loss to the New York Rangers on March 19.  As far as any moves to be made before the trade deadline, DeBoer understands that is for "Lou to decide", meaning GM Lou Lamoriello.
