NHL Snap Shots: Blackhawks, Weiss and Clarkson

General Manager of the Chicago Blackhawks, Stan Bowman, is ready to make some moves according to a recent post at ESPN.com by Pierre LeBrun.  He is just awaiting interested teams.  The Blackhawks made two minor trades in January of this year, but has since been quiet on the trade front.

George Richards of the Miami Herald recently reported that the wrist surgery needed by Stephen Weiss, was the last resort, according to Weiss.  He is fully aware that he may have played his last game as a Florida Panther.  Weiss has undergone this same type of procedure previously.

Tom Gulitti recently reported on his Fire and Ice blog for northjersey.com that David Clarkson has mentioned that Toronto is his "favorite" place to play.  That, of course, fueled some speculation that the current New Jersey Devil who is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, would be wearing the blue and white of the Maple Leafs next season.
