Tim Thomas Traded to New York Islanders

Tim Thomas has been traded to the New York Islanders by the Boston Bruins according to philly.com. It is reported that the Bruins will receive a conditional second round draft pick in 2014 or 2015 as compensation.

Newsday.com reports that this is strictly a salary cap move by the Islanders.
