NHL News Snapshots: Red Wings, Hejduk, Visnovsky

According to a post by John Gallagher in the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Red Wings, along with the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan are exploring what an agreement might look like for a new arena deal.

Mike Chambers reports in the Denver Post that Milan Hejduk will play in his 1000th game for the Colorado Avalanche tonight. He is just the 30th player to ever play in 1000 games with the same NHL hockey team.

Arthur staple reports at Newsday.com that Lubomir Visnovsky is set to join the New York Islanders this week according to both the team and his agent.
