Minnesota Wild Moves: Spurgeon, Kassian, Kuemper

Jared Spurgeon has been removed from the injured reserve list by the Minnesota Wild according to NHL.com.  The 23 year-old defenseman, drafted by the New York Islanders in 2008, had 23 points in 70 games last season.  Spurgeon had been out of the lineup since an injury incurred in a January 22 game against the Nashville Predators.

In a related move, the Wild have placed forward Matt Kassian on waivers.

The Star-Tribune reports that goaltender Darcy Kuepmer was recalled by the Wild and it is expected that he will start on Tuesday evening against the Vancouver Canucks.
