Mike Rupp Traded by New York Rangers to Minnesota Wild

The New York Rangers have traded Mike Rupp to the Minnesota Wild per a tweet from Bob McKenzie.

According to hockeyfights.com,the Rangers will get Darroll Powe in return from the Wild.

Last season for the Rangers, Rupp racked up 103 hits and 97 penalty minutes.

Powe accrued 151 hits and 57 penalty minutes in a full regular season slate for Minnesota last season.

The Wild also included Nick Palmieri, a 2007 third round draft pick of the New Jersey Devils, in the trade.
