Danny Taylor Put on Waivers by Calgary Flames

Danny Taylor, who was just acquired by the Calgary Flames, was placed on waivers and will be sent down to their AHL affiliate if he clears according to cbssports.com, after the Flames picked up Joey MacDonald off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings.  Taylor has played one NHL regular season game, during the 2007-08 season, with the Los Angeles Kings.

While their primary goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff is shelved with an injury, the Flames seem to be exploring all options in net.  They acquired both Taylor and MacDonald recently, and also have Leland Irving as a netminder.  In four games this season, Irving has a 2.62 goals against average.

A trade for an All-Star goaltender by the Flames should not be ruled out either.
