Chris Kreider to Remain With New York Rangers

With an injury sustained by Darroll Powe in the New York Rangers contest against the Washington Capitals on Sunday, the New York Post reports that young centerman Chris Kreider will likely remain with the team after being recalled from the Connecticut Whale recently.

In 7 games this season, Kreider had a goal and an assist with a 2 in the plus/minus column, and just over 10 minutes of ice time per game.  He was sent to Connecticut from the Rangers for only one game, before being recalled to the NHL with the Rangers.

According to the Post article, Powe hit his head on the ice after colliding with the Capitals' Matt Hendricks in the second period.
