The New Jersey Devils have reacquired Alexei Ponikarovsky from the Winnipeg Jets, according to NHL.com, in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in 2013 and a fourth round draft pick in 2014.

The 32 year old winger was with the Devils last season, playing an integral part in their run to the Stanley Cup Championship Series against the Los Angeles Kings.  Ponikarovsky had 9 points in 24 games during that playoff run.

Ponikarovsky broke into the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2000-01 and has since spent time with the Penguins, Kings, Hurricanes, Jets and Devils.  He has 316 points in 648 career regular season NHL games.
