NHL Snap Shots: Subban, Briere, Gomez

Darren Dreger is reporting via Twitter that the Montreal Canadiens offer to P.K. Subban is roughly $5 million over 2 seasons. It's also thought that there has been no progress in the negotiations. The Habs have been performing well so far at 2-1.

Tim Panaccio states that Daniel Briere's status remains doubtful. Briere had injured his wrist playing with a German team during the NHL lockout.  (An update to this story:  as of 6:15 ET ProHockeyTalk reports that Briere will indeed make his season debut for the Flyers tonight).

David Pollack reports that Scott Gomez will be playing on the fourth line and second power play unit in his season and team debut with the San Jose Sharks today. Gomez recently signed a one year deal with the Sharks after a buyout by the Montreal Canadiens.
