NHL Snap Shots: Schneider, New Jersey, Lombardi, Knuble

Cory Schneider had another good performance in net for the Vancouver Canucks according to CBSSports.com.  If he continues to play as well as he has recently, with 30 saves in the Canucks victory on Friday, the chances that Roberto Luongo remains with the team become slimmer.

The New Jersey Devils, despite missing Adam Henrique to injury and losing Zach Parise to free agency, are off to their best start in ten years according to CBSSports.com.  They are now 3-0 with their overtime win over the Washington Capitals on Friday.  Future Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur has been strong in net so far, ranking in the NHL top five in each of these categories:  Wins, Goals Against Average and Save Percentage.

ESPN.com reports that Phoenix Coyotes center Matthew Lombardi will be out indefinitely after being injured in Thursday's game against the San Jose Sharks.  Lombardi was recently traded to the Coyotes from the Toronto Maple Leafs

Mike Knuble will be available to play in Saturday's game for the Philadelphia Flyers according to an ESPN.com report.  Knuble was brought to the Flyers after an injury to Scott Hartnell
