NHL Notebook

ESPN has a nice compilation of all the NHL players who will be playing overseas during the lockout.  Two things I take from this list.  One - the NHL players don't expect this lockout to end anytime soon.  If this many players have plans to play on other teams this season.  Two - the Bruins players will be scattered far and wide until the NHL season starts, if it starts this season.

THN.com reports that the Russian-based KHL will air several games on ESPN3 this season.  There are also plans to play a couple of KHL games in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center in January.

Would boycotting NHL sponsors put more pressure on the NHL to resolve the lockout quickly?  Some fans think so.  Read more at the Puck Daddy blog.
