Hockey Notes

ESPN's Katie Strang reports that discussions between the league and the union are scheduled to resume on Tuesday.  She also mentions that the league has repeatedly stated that they await the players' union   presenting their next offer.

Lyle Richardson of thehockeynews.com notes that the Colorado Avalanche saw its lowest stadium attendance in 2009-10.  As they've rebuilt, attendance has swung back up.  It will take a push to the playoffs however, to see a significant rise in attendance.  That or a phenomenal young player on the level of Sidney Crosby.

The Avs ranked 23rd on average game attendance in 2011-12.  If you want to see the full attendance numbers, go to ESPN.com.
