2013 NHL Draft Prospects - 5 To Watch

The 2013 NHL Draft really isn't that far away.  So let's take a look at some of the premier prospects who will be taken early and will take to the NHL ice in 2013.

1.  Seth Jones - The son of former NBA great Popeye Jones, Seth is said by some to be the presumptive number one overall selection. The 6' 3" defenseman had an outstanding showing in the first ever All American Prospect game in 2012.

2.  Nathan MacKinnon - The 5' 11" right-handed center has been playing with the Halifax Mooseheads.  In 2011-12 he scored an impressive 78 points in 58 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

3.  Elias Lindholm - The Sweedish forward has been called the best European prospect in this draft class.  Playing for Brynas IF in the J20 league last season, Lindholm had an astounding 49 points in 36 games.

4.  Zachary Fucale - 32 wins in 58 games played in 2011-12.  A strong 3.16 GAA.  A 2.88 GAA and .904 save percentage in the 2012 playoffs.  He's one of the few goalies to watch as a potential early pick in the 2013 NHL draft.

5.  Hunter Shinkaruk - He had 49 goals and 91 points in 66 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers in 2011-12.  And he's got 7 points in just 4 games already in the 2012-13 season.
